Our Attorneys
Our practice consists of two attorneys and a staff of paralegals, “Of Counsel” Attorneys and other support personnel. We service the real estate, estate planning and business needs of our individual clients as well as the needs of corporate clients and developers. We are also affiliated with attorneys who handle criminal law, personal injury cases, bankruptcy, employment law, guardianships and other legal matters.
The firm was formed as a successor to the law practice of John R. Serpico who practiced law in Brooklyn, New York for over 30 years. John G. Serpico joined his father in 1993 and established his own firm in 1994. Rashidah S. Siddiqui joined the firm in 2003 and was made partner in 2005. Since the formation of the firm, it has grown in size, areas of practice and quality of services.

John Serpico was born and bred in Brooklyn, New York, first in Crown Heights and then in Bay Ridge. John is a product of the NYC public school system (Fort Hamilton H.S. - Go Tigers!), and went to Pennsylvania for his higher education (attending the University of Pennsylvania for his BA degree which he received in 1982 and Villanova University School of Law for his law degree in 1986). John began his law career in Pennsylvania working for 6 years as a pension investigator for the US Department of Labor and as a tax and pension attorney for Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company. John lost his Brooklyn accent while in Pennsylvania but not his love for New York. He returned to New York in 1993 and has been practicing law in Brooklyn ever since that time. John lives in both New York City and Amagnsett, NY where he also practices and develops real estate.

Rashidah S. Siddiqui
Partner
Originally from Grenada, West Indies, Rashidah, grew up in Brooklyn. She prides herself on her hands on approach to working with clients and providing in depth explanations of the ever-changing real estate market in New York. Rashidah received her B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Howard University in 1999 and then returned to New York to attend Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School, where she earned her law degree in 2002. Prior to joining the firm, Rashidah worked as a Legal Intern at Comedy Central, a law clerk for the NYS Attorney General's Office, The Environmental Protection Department, The Author's Guild and the Law Office of Lloyd Jassin as an intern involving general practice and entertainment law. Rashidah is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Brooklyn Bar Association. She is very active in philanthropic endeavors and has been a Committee member of the New York Women’s Foundation Circle of Sisters for Change from 2008 to the Present, The New York Urban League, Young Professional Division and for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through Team-in-Training.
